Thanks! I’ll be sure to get some photos on the next ride. To my surprise some of those sections at higher elevation actually saw a little snow last week, so we lucked out on the weather.

Here is the video for the So Cal May ride. So if you're bored or have 24 minutes to waste then please give it a watch.

Would you ride the RX3 on the same route?

Yes I would. I thought about taking my RX3. My only concern would be the stock tires. With some better off road tread DOT tires it shouldn't be a problem. The challenging area would be riding through the decomposing rock starting around 13:14 mark. At the 14:15 mark I took a spill when my front tire washed out. Combination of over correcting and tires at highway pressure.

Novice

What pressure would be appropriate to air down to for those rocky trails? Also, what gearing are you running?

Hopefully this heatwave will be gone in a week for the next ride.

I was running 32psi with stock tires. I think 20 or 15 psi would of helped. When I change tires I will get wider tires with a little more aggressive tread. Not to mention more riding practice is called for.
This weekend ride will be a hot one. It's going to be around 100°F(37°C). I plan to ride in Death Valley eventually so this will be a good practice run I guess.
I changed my gearing towards highway speeds. I am running 17 in front and 47 rear.
