I like it. Looks very heavy duty. Being a flat head is must be low RPM and low power with lots of torque. Looking forward to a detailed review when you get a chance to ride it.

tokarev, who is building the bike for you in China? I know that there are a couple of outfits dealing with these bikes who are members on mychinamoto--is this bike from one of them?

Has your bike arrived from the PRC? As with many others, I would love to hear an update regarding your motorcycle.

No not yet - its supposed to be in NY NY on the 12th then trucked to Tampa FL. The bike was originally going to arrive in NY on 1-27 but for some reason the container sat in Korea for two weeks.

The wait would have me pulling my hair out.
No wait, just checked, very little hair left, not an issue. 8)

new ETA
Received a more papers from the shipper today - the new ETA is the 26th of Feb. The bike left China on 12-27-09 - there really is such a thing as "a slow boat from China".

I was watching the freighters come up the Savannah river last week. Made me wonder what was in all those containers. Pretty impressive operation at those ports.

new bike
I picked up the the bike day after my last post. I havent posted pics cause there were a few problems with the bike. Mostly sloppy assembly work. I contacted the owner of the company and he was very concerned in fixing the problems. Now me being on the other side of the world from him makes the fix aliitle more challenging. They had a problem with the quality person as he put it to me. I guess I wasnt the only one who received a bike with issues. They actaully called on the phone last friday from china to assure me they wanted to make it right - They are sending parts needed to fix the issues plus giving me one of their leather riding jackets. The bike starts and runs under its own power but there was a bunch of really crappy assembly issues. Once I receive the parts and get all the fixes done I will post some pics. One bright spot was this monday I suceeded in getting the title and tag work done...100% legal now
