To ad to Spud's comment on the extra LED in the headlight, a brake light flasher and a red LED light strip on the back of the bike. Preferably tied into the flasher. And the brightest LEDs you can get for the turn signals.

I just finished and passed my STARS class this last weekend. Woot! I did not think they were going to teach us how to do this though........!
