a question with an answer as wide as it is long
in febuary im planning on getting a dp/enduro of some sort any pointers on which way to go, what to look at, and what to stay the heck away from..

Most readily available high quality Chinese D/S now is a Q.
Any 200cc will NOT be highwaty safe, especially loaded. Semi-consensus is to avoid the LXT400 for multiple issues, even though it looks like an amazing deal.

Most Chinese D/S's are 200's. The '250's' are really 230's and OHV. They are not as powerful as an OHC 200. I recommend a Q, or IF you can find one, a Zong.

My United Motors is a 200 and it carries me just fine. I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs.

I found mine here in Knoxville. It is a 2007, but was brand new. Got it for $1000.
