Potential new bike. Opinions and Options
Hey everyone,
So about 2.5 years ago I bought a X-Pro Titan 250cc Dirt Bike I have done a bunch of improvements to it and I feel like I have made it as good as it can get. I have absolutely loved it but I think it is time to upgrade (recently developed a leak at the stator wiring) and I need everyone's help making a decision. This will be a 100% trail/ enduro bike. Would love to hear from people who have ridden multiple. Here are my dirt bike requirements; -~250cc in size. Willing to bump up to 300cc. -More HP than the Titan which is producing 16-17HP. -Most importantly it must be EFI. This is my main reason for upgrading. I live in CO and ride from 5000' - 12000' pretty consistently. Current Options I know of but please tell me if I missed any; Orion RXB-250L H.O. EFI Kayo K6 250 EFI GPX 300R (A Little Pricey for me but willing to listen) One last comment; Feelings on the Honda crf250F as an alternative? |

The RXB is an excellent bike, large aftermarket support for the engine, which is smooth and can make great power.
I know of and have ridden a few Kayo bikes.. founder and lead engineer used to work for Honda I'm told. In fact, my local Honda dealer even sells and services them now. The CRF250f is iconically awesome.. although the CRF300 would be a better choice from an engine standpoint. |

The Lifan KPX 250 is EFI would be a good bike. Also Venom Motorsports will start selling the Trail Master TM38EX EFI soon which has a water cooled 300cc engine with 31HP. Should be just under $4,000

Awesome thank you both for that info! I will check out both those new bikes. I'm really torn between the Kayo and the CRF250f at the moment. ill look into the crf300. the Kayo k6 EFI produces more HP at 29ish and the CRF250F produces 21. but I assume reliability and durability go to the Honda?
My local dealership has a '22 Kayo k6 for 4600 out the door and a crf250f at 4900. |
