Spark Plug size for Apollo 140
Does anyone know what size spark plug the Apollo 140 takes?... I bought and AutoLite from Walmart... before I open it I want to make sure it's the right size.
Update: I did some research, the proper Autolite spark plug is 4194 Hex Size 5/8" (16mm) Reach 12.7mm (1/2") Gap .24" (0.6mm) (The recommended gap is 0.7) Last edited by C_Geezy; 10-21-2022 at 10:26 AM. |

Besides size, you need to consider heat range. The NGKs I have seen for our bikes have a heat range of 8. This packaging lists 6 and 7 for NGK. I would recommend returning this plug and just get the proper NGK plug for your bike. Probably a DPR8EA.
BTW here is a link to the owner's manual, in case you don't have one. It doesn't mention the plug though. https://www.servicemotorcyclemanuals...rcycle/apollo/ Here is a good writeup on plug heat range. https://carfromjapan.com/article/car...g-heat-ranges/

If you get an NGK, make sure that you need the extended reach before you buy the DPR8EA. and unless you are bringing a radio to listen to while riding, you could probably pass on the resistor as well.

The correct NGK plug with the above specs is CR7HSA, as shown below. |
