Hi Chinariders!
I ordered 2018 CSC TT250 online today and was browsing forum for a while. It seems RX and Hawks are more popular than TT250 ? I guess we have fewer choices for street legal China bikes in CA.. I have Honda NC700 but want to have something lighter to fool around with and be able to pick it up without risking my aging back Having both kick start and electric start and cheap spares (like $100 rims!) is what pushed me to order CSC rather than keep looking for used Japanese bike. I hope I will not regret it I had few hondas before -CB700, 919, 650L, 600R, but they were all well used. So, I never went through braking-in brand new engine.. Looking forward to get insights from this forum and to report my experience with TT250. Serge |

Welcome to here! I suggest beside this forum, that you watch youtube videos on the bike. Someone posting as Each Adventure seems to have several videos of the TT 250 and rides his all around the desert.

Welcome aboard. Glad you could join us. I feel sorry for you guys in CA. Your choice of china bikes are slim pickings but at least you have CSC to choose from. The TT250 is at the top of the food chain. I don't think you will be disappointed.

4serge welcome aboard. I hope to learn more about your experience with your bike.
I was really tempted to get a TT250. Last week, they had the left over 2018 model on sale for $1999. But, then they add about $400 for doc fees and assembly, bringing the total to $2400. Had it not been for that, I probably would have purchased that one. They are sold out now. |

UPS said that it should be in Omaha by today or tomorrow. Then, it's up to a subsidiary company to do the residential delivery. So, it could be Friday, which is fine with me. Last time, I did terminal delivery since Siai has a terminal less than an hour from me. But, the idea of residential delivery sounds nice. The snow that Omaha got the other day isn't helping.

Thanks for the welcome! Actually it turned out I placed an order when they were already "sold out" and did not update website.. When they gave me new grand total $2900 leave or take I asked to cancel the order. They are popping on CL so I think I will get the used one.. I do not think there were any changes to TT250 since 2016? |

Welcome to the forum. In CA the other option is the SSR XF 250. It is a fabulous bike and fairly common in SoCal but not as popular outside CA or on this forum due to the higher price, although it sounds like the XF250 and TT250 are now about the same price when you factor in the extras for the CSC. Given equal prices the SSR is way more bike bike for the money.
Used however, I just saw a TT250 on CL for $1100 on SF Bay area CL and you can't beat that. Someone is also trying to sell a used CSC SG250 with an Italian flag sticker on the tank for $2800 so I guess those are going up in value like 40% as soon as people ride them off the lot lol.

Welcome to the site. Sucks to hear that you didn't get a chance at one of the discounted 2018's but I think you would be happy with a lightly used TT250 as well, and it shouldn't be too hard to find one for a good price. Living in Cali definitely makes your options far more limited when it comes to the Chinabike world.
I do agree that the XF250 would also be a great alternative, unless you really desire the larger front and rear wheels of the TT. You could also likely find a used one for cheaper than the $3100msrp of a new one.

My fear, like the Apollo street-legal dual sport that was recently released, is that the BMS will be issued a California green sticker rather than on-road status. But you might want to wait and see what happens with that bike, unless you can get a great deal on a used CSC. The idea of CSC is great even for those not in California; it is like a dream come true for those with Hawks or TT250s since many parts fit and the cost is relatively low for those parts. It is definitely a step up from its Chinabike brethren in that you not only have a Chinabike, but you have some piece of mind behind it.
