From outside edges of grips is 30 inches. With mirrors mounted there is no space left without going round the bend. |

Still haven't heard anything about replacements being sent out. I will call them tomorrow, see if anything is going out soon.

I called and they are being made and will be sent out "soon". But no real time line.

I just ordered a new bar, got tired of waiting. I will get them installed this weekend and report.
Anyone have a guide for removing the throttle and switches? First time doing this.

Hi Rod, the switches each have two phillips screws that need to be removed from below. After the screws are removed the switchgear and throttle will slide off easily. There is a plastic male pin attached to each set of switches that seats in a hole on the handlebars to prevent rotation and movement after installation. Your new bars will not have these holes ( I assume CSC replacement bars do). I drilled my new bars, others may prefer to just remove the male nub and securely cinch down the switchgear rather than compromise the bars integrity. If you decide to drill your bars pay close attention to the orientation. If the throttle switchgear is rotated too far back towards the rider it can prevent you from having your front brake lever rotated down as far as you may like because the inside of the front brake lever lever will strike the housing. I rotate my levers pretty far down so they are easier to use while standing and I had an issue with this after my installation. I highly recommend the Tusk 30mm risers. Good luck, enjoy your new bars!.

I believe you'll love those risers.... Can't wait to see some pics of your Tusk bars.
I've got the 30mil Tusks and the stock windscreen/mirrors. The only issue I've got is the right hand mirror arm gets into the windscreen a tad if the bars are turned left into the stop. Otherwise I love those risers! I don't know if the new handlebars will help that or not. . . guess I'll eventually find out.

Are there after market hand guards for the RX3?
I ordered the ones from CSC and they don't seem to fit. Thanks.

This is what happened to me, not enough room on the bar for them to fit. I just ordered some TUSK Chub bars (KTM bend) from RMATV and installed those to get them to fit.

I'm an idiot....
My hand guards are on. I not going to say that I was trying to put the left one on the right side and the right one on the left side. I could never make that mistake.

I have a 2016 also and I bought the hand guards at the same time I bought the RX3 about a month ago. Might just return em since I rarely do any bushwhacking and it's starting to get too hot to restrict ventilation to the hands. Save
