Anyone using the MSR shift lever?
I'm not sure if i got the wrong part or what but i have been told that this Shift lever http://hawk250.com/shop/msr-hard-par...on-content-msg would work perfectly for the hawk 250. Got it in today and went to install it to find that it does not fit. It is not possible to tighten it down enough.

Update!!! Link on site sent me to wrong part.
So i was able to get in contact with http://hawk250.com/shop/ and informed them that the part I order did not fit my bike. They were super cool and very fast to respond. It seems that the link they had for the item in question had been change by the seller and Hawk250.com was not aware of this change. They have made the changes on Hawk250.com. So i will be returning the Shift lever and getting the right one.
Again so we are clear hawk250.com Now has the right part link on there page! |

Well now i feel a little better was thinking I was the only one that had this problem LOL. Hmm thats an interesting idea you have there. I don't have a welder but there is a shop right down the street. I may just look into this. Do you think the weld with hold up ok? I know nothing about welding is why i ask.

My old man is a retired welder and he used to say the weld should be stronger then the metal...not sure how true that is but if you get good penetration and a clean welding environment (sheilding gas) it should be good to go.
If you can get an exact fit for no extra money, just time to wait for shipping that is probably your best bet. But if they don't make it or they won't take it back.... or you just like to burn steel then weld it. |

I bought the 758 from Amazon and it is to big for the shaft. It's to bad because it was perfect for the Hawk. So I went the 709 when it was back in stock. It's the same one most people use.

Hawk250 only lists parts and where to buy them. Try to guess which one is him riding with MotoCheez on the east coast of the US.

I just noticed the current price ($14.92) is much lower than the $23.76 I paid. Grab one while they are hot.
