When the key switch is on, there will be continuity between the red wire and whatever else is there. Black, IIRC.

Me too! I would have guessed 21/18.

Is it locked right now, forcing the bike to ride in circles?

Nah it's all apart.
The ign switch was confusing me for no reason. Lol. Once I had a second eye on it, my brainfart became plainly evident. The wire colors all matched up even. Big derp. And yes 21/18. Proof reading fail. |

Getting keys made today. Got a sub harness put together last night.
If I had the 9 pin connector for the lights I'd be happier. Lol. |

You could always build a connector out of a 4x3 Molex connector. They're easily found at electronics shops, as are the extractors.

Found this. LOOKS correct. cheap. I'll see in a few days. I've still got the charging system and stuff to wire up, so I'm still progressing. Is there any real benefit to doing any ignition upgrades (coil and whatnot) on these things? |

I have pin tools anyway, so that's no biggie.
The bike just a LITTLE different than the stuff I'm used to. Ha! I got the title transferred and the license plate yesterday. Hope to be riding it in the next couple weeks. |

Just about ready to ride the thing. The carb still needs some work, and I need a tach and speedo cable.
But the electrical seems to be done. There's a couple yellow wires that branch off the rectifier that I couldnt ID. But it seems to work. And I need a taillight lens. |

After multiple bouts if carb cleaning it seems to run great.
I'm not positive its charging right though. |

Perhaps the loose, yellow wires on the regulator/rectifier need to be connected to the stator.
