XTM 250cc Knocking
I have a water cooled 250CC XTM quad, knocking sound in the top part of the engine once it gets to running temp. Have done some research on other blog’s and most suggestions are around the timing chain & tentioner. This model does not have a chain and runs on gear driven cam & push-rod. Have checked the clearances and all are good, but still have the nock. Once on temp, the knock is audible at idle and increases with RPM. Hope someone can point me in the right direction?

Welcome!
When you say you've checked clearances, what do you mean? Which clearances did you check, and waht specs did you use?

Those are good numbers. I hate to say it, but perhaps you have a rod knock due to a bad bearing. I'd pull it apart.
The good news is that spare parts are cheap as chips from www.taobao.com Use Google Chome to view it, and allow it to translate.
