Sorry to hear that mellissann....but ya know what?....it's exactly why I sent my wife through the weekend MSF course after teaching her how to ride myself.
Before she was going to take the riding test at DMV, I took her little Sporty down there myself to give a dry run on a Saturday. It had been 36 years since I took it, on the exact same DMV facility! After a few trips around the little painted track, it soon told me to send her through the class instead. (They hand you a license voucher after you pass it, to walk in and get your license.) THAT THING WAS STILL DESIGNED FOR A HONDA STEPTHRU 90! You'd think with how the bikes have grown in size, power and weight, the course would have been altered to fit but no..... Anyway, if you get the chance, take the MSF course. It's worth it. The Lovely and Gracious Mrs. 2LZ now has over 35000 miles under her belt and has also taken and passed the Advanced MSF Course. For an old dog....she came home and taught me a few new tricks out of it also. Very informative.....and they provide you the little bike and hand you your license voucher when you leave. Takes all the pressure off.
