HandleBar Angle/Control
Just recently I had my 50cc Mini ATV out with my daughter and she was having a really hard time keeping the things straight anytime she hit any bumps. Now I know she is quite young, but before she was riding on fairly flat grass or dirt and she was a little wobbly, but nothing serious.
This weekend she rode into a small ditch, into long grass (off the path) quite a few times, and just generally seemed to have no control of her ride on uneven surfaces. When I assembled the quad, I puposely 'tipped' the handbars more towards the rider, instead of a more traditional 'upright' position. I did this so they would be closer to her for perhaps better reach of the brake lever. I am wondering if this angle of the bars would contribute to more difficult steering?? |
