I'm still holding out hope for a 400cc DS at a reasonable price. I liked the 200, but I want something w/ a bit more pep. The new HiBird 250 is interesting, but even with it I'd want the higher HP version.

No offense taken. Getting back on the Lifan after riding Japanese bikes puts into perspective just why Chinese bikes carry such a low pricetag.
I was thinking about keeping the Lifan, trying to justify it really, when I took it out for a ride recently. It's a good bike for what it is, but I don't think I could ever be happy riding it again.
