Apollo Thunder 250 - Mods

I just purchased a new Apollo Thunder 250cc.

Would anyone please be able to give me a quick list of some mods I might be able to do to improve performance or reliability.

I heard a carby jet kit will help?

Also what spark plug would I get for this?
