NC South Mountain Game Lands

I went out riding yesterday for the holiday. Nice to have a day off.

The South Mountains game land has a road running through it which was a lot of fun. the road is only about 15 miles long, so it doesn't take all that long. There's also not a lot of other roads in the area which provides other entertainment for off-road. They are curvy, but generally paved.

The Game land road starts off as gravel. There had been some gravel put down this year so some of it is heavy and presents some challenges in that regard. Eventually, the road turns to dirt/rock with some of it a bit washed out and rutted to make it a bit more challenging.

I would not suggest anyone make a longer trip to this area just for this road, but if you live in the general area, it's a good out-back practice road to hone skills.
