Trailmaster C160 Front Brake Issue Pad replacement

Hi All, I'm new to trail riding and recently purchased a trailmaster c160 from an online distributor. It's been a terrible experience. Anyway, when I received the bike it was assembled, everything seemed to be ok. I took it for a test run around the block, coming up on a turn i hit the front brake and it went limp and the whole front brake assembly stared to chatter and clunk...not sure what happened..maybe the bolts where not tight enough. But now the brake pads are all chewed up and I need to replace them but for the life of me I can't seem to get them off of the caliper. Does anyone have experience in replacing the pads on these or a video that can help walk me through it for this model? Thank you.
