Tao GK110 Chain Tensioner

Hi Guys,

I'm working on a tao gk110 go cart and I just put in a new motor direct from tao. Everything went in smooth but as i go to install the chain tensioner, I can barely get it in and when i fasten it down the chain tension is really snug. Can someone give me some info on how to do a chain tension adjustment on these? Also, the correct placement of the chain tensioner in case I have the orientation wrong. I attached a photo of the rear end for reference, chain and tensioner are currently off the cart. Thanks!
