I might be cussed, but to me a stock chain just plain sucks. Tubes, chains, grips, fuse holders, brake lines, grade of bolts on minor pieces, are all places where an OEM cuts costs. Hell, Yamaha used to shave an 1/8th off their handlebar width on bikes they carried over year after year, knowing the end customer was going to toss them the minute they got them outside the dealerships. Chains on anything that was supposed to be used in extreme conditions, were decent at best. They usually lasted about 3 weeks. On anything else, cheapest they can get, complete shit. Replace items listed above ASAP, your machine, plus your temper, will thank you.
