Hello all! Happy Memorial day from Michigan! Links now work.

Well, here I am, an old Jap bike rider going through my second childhood with these nice little bikes out of China. I race MX and take my FZR and RZ to track days at Mid-Ohio as often as the wife will allow. I started out on a Honda Trail 50 at age 7. No brakes, hard-tail, had to push start it, but boy did I ride it. I then picked up a Garelli 50 at a garage sale and rode that 'till my parent bought me a brand new Kaw MC-1 90. My father and I built that into a XR70 beater and then kept upgrading the suspension to race against the slew of new 2-strokes. It would hang with the TM75, YZ80 and the RM80. Suspension was my only advantage as the motor was down on HP compared to the new race bikes of the day. At 12 I got a TM 100 and then at 14 I got a new RM125. That was it, I raced every weekend 'till my 20's when I got married and started a family. 15 or so years passed and I went right back to the track. 2002 was a good year.

2003 I had a 144 point lead when I got t-boned in the first corner and now I need a hip and a knee replaced. I wont go get cut on so now I just ride the little bikes for the most part.

Here is a video of a nice lead I had but lost in a fall. A great comeback to win by a nose. Not bad for a gray haired guy.

Well, that is my story. I love riding, and will keep it up 'till I cant sling a leg over a bike anymore.

Thanks for having such a great site for info,
