Be Safe out there

We got some bad news over the weekend. A good high school friend of my daughter from high school was hit and killed on his motorcycle by a truck on Saturday. He was an exceptional outstanding young man. He was the only kid i would allow to date my daughter. Immediately after graduating he had joined the army which turned him into an even better young man. Him and my daughter kept in touch over the pass 3 years and every time he had leave he would come back home and visit. The last time he had visit he had came on his new HD 750. We even took a ride later that day. He was station at Fort Hood in Texas. He was coming back home this week to spend a few days with my daughter. His bags had arrived early on Saturday at his moms house as he was going to riding his bike here. Around 4:45pm Saturday he was riding on State Highway 195 near the City of Killeen Transfer Station, a 3/4 ton truck had stopped at a stop sign then proceeded to pull out in front of him where he was struck and killed.

I'm posting this to remind everyone to make your self as visible as possible because people don't pay attention to what they are doing on the road. Headlights on. Brighter LED bulbs will help over the dim standard OEM bulbs. When I get to a busy intersection I will flash my bright to get there attention. I've had a few times where I had vehicles attempting to pull out and stopped them when I flashed them.
