I did a few mods and Now I have redone them.

I decided to give the 40 tooth rear a try. Then while it was on the lift, I thought hey I wonder if that uni filter will fit.And it did. Then a buddy showed up and said hey while you that close lets rejet. So I dug up a 105 main jet and put that in. Also I confirmed for myself that there is a gel pac in the carbs when new, That stuff is gooey. The conclusion is I can run 65mph (confirmed) at 6100rpm. The long awaited answer is connected to the playing card in the spokes sound. I finally found my noise. It WAS the stock airbox. where the rubber was "glued?" to the back of it . It was flexing in and out making the poping sound every time it hit the rubber hose going to the carb.
