Upgraded my throttle tube on my XF250
My stock throttle tube broke on me while riding a couple of weeks ago. I was able to get one ordered under warranty from the dealer but it's taking too long to get here... Time to take things into my own hands.
So I did some research and found that a Suzuki RMZ250/450 or Yamaha YZ250F/WR250F throttle tube may work (bought a Pro Taper clamp on grip kit, used that to find the bike models that could work on mine by trying out their different cams). I wanted an aluminum one so I took the plunge and bought this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/382440991874 Got the tube today and it looks close enough... And a pic from the end that installs into the controls: And installed: Overall it works fine. It's not the best fitting (there's some play when starting to twist the throttle) but I can go from idle to full throttle without binding. You don't really notice the play while sitting on the seat though. Overall I think it should work. I went on about a 20 mile ride today but I have yet to try my daily commute for a few days with it. I'll update as this as soon as I can.
