Bad brake switch?

My garage door was hand build by the previous owner. It doesn't open wide enough to park my buggy inside. I was keeping it outside, covered, until someone tried to steal it. I decided to break it down and put it in the garage until I can rebuild the door to open all the way.

When I put it all back together, it wouldn't start. Brake check, no light. I bypassed the brake switch and it started up. Is it possible I did something wrong when draining, refilling and bleeding the brake system?

I bought it this year and has very few hours. Surely the switch wouldn't go out that soon.
