I picked up a ms170 for $2.00 two years ago ,looked in the exact condition of your picture (brand new ,never cut a thing) yet it had almost no compression .I guess they wear out quickly when you run straight gas in your brand new saw .$35.00 later and bought a brand new Chinese ebay engine for it and it has cut dozens of cords of firewood ever since .Thats a very good saw if you don’t need anything bigger .Do you know when the Stihl days is going to start this spring ?I want to buy another saw and am waiting for them to go on sale ?
