With the exception of maintenance, I think I'm pretty well done modifying my BSR 250. When I first received it, it was having trouble keeping up 55 miles an hour in 5th with the throttle wide open. now 55 is the point where I shift into 5th. I only made limited changes and I'm really happy with its overall performance.

I remove the entire air box and replaced it with a cone filter. And then changed out the carburetor for the Mikuni. Running a 115 main jet it has power that the designers probably never even thought it would. I accidentally lifted the front wheel off the ground while leaving a light earlier today.

The real difference I believe is in the exhaust. $99? You've got to be kidding me!

It is a totally different machine now.

The only thing I really don't like about this bike is the front brake. It is not powerful and when I do use it, it loves to squeal up a storm. I would replace that if there is a better option.
