Charging System

Can some one help me figure out how to test my stator? Right now it looks like my battery is not charging an I dont know what wires from the stator are suposed to feed the voltage regulator. So far these are the tests i did. Tested battery volts with the engine running and not running. Voltage is the same 12.5. Removed battery cables with engine running and it stays running. Tested battery cables after removing from battery with enging running and I get 0 volts. The ATV is a 2005. Might be a Ching 200 or Peace 200.
