Gots me a new toy.
Well. made the purchase of a TSM 200XY, Shineray dirt bike yesterday. I picked it up crated and T-Motorsports is doing the California DMV stuff. It is a green sticker. Got the bike assembled and running last night and did the break-in (ride it like you stole it method) today. The oil has been changed and all is well. As some may know I have owned 2 china quads for a couple years so an very aware of the prep and quality issues and I must admit that this new bike is light-years better. It came with actual assembly/prep instructions, the operators manual and a parts list with part numbers in English. Valve specs, lube and other maintenance procedures are also included. Granted the grammatical issued and spelling atrocities abound as well as some missing information is still affecting the documents, but they are much better than the 7 pages of nonsense I received from Kazuma on my first go-around. As far as quality of the machine I am quite impressed at this point. The welds are much cleaner, The battery box is now metal and most if the critical nuts are now locknuts. The plastics are nice and beefy as well. I have of course loc-tited everything else quite liberally and checked everything for good torque. (also included in the manual). It appears these guys are paying attention as now most if the critical nuts/bolts are also painted with neon yellow lines to make fastener inspection easier as well. The bike is quite fast and so far runs like a top and starts right up via starter or kick. Chinese bikes keep coming out like this and the Japanese boys better be watching their backs.
