Bashzuki 3.4 gal fuel tank build
Thanks to Bogieboy's inspiration and to Emerikol's awesome new supplied fuel tank.
Got the Suzuki dr650 tank mounted to the Bashan blaze (bashzuki?). Stock 1.8 gal tank only got me about 62 miles. With my poor fuel milage of 37mpg (basically wot mileage) and the added 1 gal reserve I carry I can get out to the middle of nowhere now where the stations are few. Total range should be about 165 miles or so. Ready for hooked on phoenix (yea right) Had to lift the tank up due to frame clearances on underside of tank.i used toilet stud bolts to accomplish this. What ever works. Seems to work ok so far. I think bogieboys tank was able to sit lower because his roketa triple tree is designed different than mine, thus more room for handlebar clearence. When that big ol metal tank is near empty it kinda echos a little, just like my big ol stomach when it's empty Also installed my $27 delivered digital tacho/speedo. Am very happy to have accuracy in MPH for a change. Had to lower the aux LEDs with a 1 inch bracket to clear the tank. Handlebars work from stop to stop (took a day of fitting to figure that one out ) It took awhile to get this thread going but wanted to get it after all finished. Ran in to lots of little hurdles to clear but easy enough if you just take them one-at-a-time. Still can't load pics from my tablet, after that chinariders.net site trouble. Here's the link to pics . I will add 1 pic to this thread when I get to my desktop which seems to be willing to place nice with the site. Update... Looks like it worked https://drive.google.com/folderview?...ENWTVJLblNuTWs
