We were working in Knoxville for a week on our RV and I happened to google Deal's Gap to see how close we would be. 55 miles! I have a rack for the bike and take it on the RV always. So I took an afternoon to explore the road that I have been wanting to ride for about 20 years or more. It was cool. 318 curves in 11 miles with no chance of someone pulling out in front of you. I think I got to 4th gear twice but mostly stayed in 2nd or 3rd. Did the road, stopped at the resort and got some souvenirs and headed back the other way. I was a little bit faster on the second try but still took it very cautiously. Since I live in FL I haven't ridden curves or hills in a LONG time. Here are a couple of pics.
