New Shoes For The Hawk

finally got around to putting the Shinko 244s on today. they are a 50/50 tire. a bit rougher tread than I wanted, but they felt better than the full knobbies on the road.

so far I like them.

question for the experienced off-roaders. I went over to my local off-road side and summarily proceeded to dump the bike, breaking the shift peg in the process. these 244s don't feel nearly as planted on trails as the knobbies. is that to be expected? the front end felt pretty "loose" in sand and loose dirt.
