Cfmoto vnight inner chain sprocket mounting

Just a querie that somebody may be able to answer.The inner chain sprocket mounting is by two bolts.The bolts are tight but the sprocket floats around on the spline a little.I believe Honda uses this method of mounting but wondering if somebody could confirm that.
Also very fortunate the sprocket cover was removed as the gear indicator wiring had been routed incorrectly and was in contact with the chain.The insulation on one wire had been worn through.
