(Videos) Refurbishing a TaoTao 110D for my goddaughter
Hey all, new on the forum, but stumbled across here and thought you guys and gals might like to see my project.
Picked up a dead TaoTao 110D, and decided to refurbish it from the ground up for my goddaughter. She's out on 80 acres of planted pine, with nothing else to do - so I thought she'd like it! Videos: Parts 14/15: Part 16: Part 17: Part 18: Maiden Voyage! I haven't finished editing up the videos from this project, so I'll update here as I do. Hopefully these will entice a few to get in there and work on their own projects Work done: Sandblasted and powdercoated the frame Custom Plasti-Dip Paint Job + Bedazzled Sticker (it's for a 9 year old girl, of course we had to dazzle it up!) on the body New bearings / seals / gaskets in the engine Repaired the busted 'transmission' output gears Repaired the wiring, including disassembling the headlight switch to show how it works Repaired and lubed the cables New bearings throughout the quad Stainless hardware wherever I could Like I said, I'm still working on the rest of the videos - but she's loving the quad thus far. Best of all? I'm maybe $400 into this little project *edit says* YES! FIRST POST AND I PUT IT IN THE WRONG PLACE! I'm the man. Anyone mind moving this to 'videos/pics'? Sorry. Way to make a first impression..... Last edited by Doward; 04-06-2015 at 11:35 PM. Reason: Final video! |
