I can't tell what the pictograms on the switch are supposed to mean. It has two wires with continuity "on?" And 2 with continuity "off?" And the lock/fork lock position has no contacts. I also can't read the secondary light switch. The wiring diagram posted doesn't match wire colors so I'm a little confused there.
When the key switch is off, there is continuity between the green wire and a lead from the CDI. That grounds the CDI to kill the engine.

When the key switch is on, there will be continuity between the red wire and whatever else is there. Black, IIRC.
