Lifan 163 FML vs 165 FMM

Hi all,

New member and for some 10 years owning a Suzuki 100 2-stroke, realy reliable.
Since some time I started thinking of doing something similar to this http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/653...25-conversion/
but instead of a Honda XR200 a Chinese made engine.
Lifan is, I believe, well known for its reliability. My intrest is between Lifan 163 FML and Lifan 165 FMM. apart from a different bore the stroke is different as well. Seems that the 165 FMM (displacement 223cc) is producing its power with 1000 revs less. So intresting for trialriding.

Could someone tell if both engines are identical? According to the technical specification they do have a different primary reduction http://www.lifan.com/English/Mall/Mo...a-3acde847d290
Technical specification does not show engine weight.

So help from you more experienced, Lifan owners, is appreciated. Perhaps someone even did a build in a MX chasis....

Abraham1815.
