Looking at getting a Chinese Bike
Hello, I am looking at the Dongfang 250 Cafe Racer. Thinking of getting a couple of them for riding the back roads and having fun on a slater more agile bike. I currently ride a Harley Davidson but think these things would be a lot of fun. Hoping to learn more about this bike before I pull the trigger on it.

don't plan on doing more than 55 to 60. if it's 45 mph back roads, then you'll have a ball. if you plan on wanting to go faster, look for something around 400cc. I've actually got my eye on a Royal Enfield Continental GT or perhaps their new Interceptor. Certainly more pricy than the 250s you're probably eyeing though.

Yes, I'm just looking for something fun and light for backroads. I have the heavy Harley for highways. I've got my eye on the DF250RTD. Love the look of it and so far everything I have read seems pretty good.

I love my Suzuki TU250 and you also might consider the CSC SG250 (same motor as my CSC TT250). Both good options to throw into the mix.

I did look at the TBR7 and they do look like a lot of fun plus the ability to go off road if you feel like it. Just something about the Cafe Racer style that keeps calling me back. Currently I'm on a HD Road glide and am looking for something cheap and fun when not highway cruising.

I've had a DF250RTG for a year now. Different style than the one you're looking at, but the same engine. It's a great little backroads explorer.

I just bought the DF250RTT-H, 250cc enduro last week hope it holds up if i take care of it, but biggest problem is trying to match up parts with other chinese bikes and identify the engine ect.

I have one of the DF250RTD cafe racers, my first motorcycle. Received it in November last year and have about 300km on it. Works well and a lot of fun! Can go an hour with no discomfort from the ride, and I'm over 60 years old. I ride it on a 2-lane winding backroad. Book says 57 is top speed and I stay at 45+-. Lot of vibration at 50 mph. I just balanced the front tire today so am anxious to see if that smooths it out. The throttle cable was too long and I had to put in a spacer to make it work. After going directly to DF, Red Fox shipped me a new cable. My bike was made in June 2020, 17 months before I received it.

These are all great bikes, I just went for the cheapest bike. Ride a 2006 Honda 750 shadow on the highway,TBR7 to play with in the woods. 1300 miles and no problems, best wishes and good luck.
