Can't get a 128 link chain on my Brozz.
I bought a 132 link Niche gold chain for my Brozz with the understanding that I should cut it down to 128 links, which I did, and now I'm coming up top short. I have my axle slid forward all the way. The stock chain had about 130 links. Has anyone put a 128 link chain on a stock 2020 Brozz 250?

Thanks tknj99.. I will put my old chain back on, and order at least the rest sprocket, and maybe the front.

I am definitely going to order the rear 42 tooth, but maybe not the front until I ask you a question. Did you find the 42 rear, and 17 front just too high? ,And you went to a 16 front to get some lost power back ?, Or was it a specific combination you wanted ? I hate to gear my bike up too much, but if it will handle a 46r / 17f. ,Then I may try it. It would possibly make the middle gears more useful to me.

When i modded the bike and gained power from the exhaust it was a nice jump in power.. and then when i changed to a 42Tooth Rear (mated with 17Front) i lost that power and probably a little more while gaining a few mph (4-5 mph) in top speed.. as i did more mods, porting, air pod, carb most of that lost power came back, but not all.. so when i swapped the front to 16T, bam it was back and im happy as it is.. its not a highway cruiser so its not worth losing that low end pull to gain a few mph in top end speed in my opinion.
A 16T/42R comes out to about the same as a 17T/44.5R so it still adds maybe 2mph in top end compared with stock.

Probably not the greatest idea.. but it should work... I the type that hates to add too many cogs to the machine. I bought a Niche 128 link oring chain and it fit just fine on my bike, with plenty of room for adjustment..
Maybe double check your install? I feel something is just not right about it fitting on the stock setup. |

The biggest risk associated with running 2 master links would be doubling the possibility of installing one incorrectly. Take it seriously and you'll be fine. If both are installed correctly there is no danger. I have done it a few times on bikes with a LOT more power. A lot. |

I am pretty sure I cut my chain wrong . I took 4 complete links out counting the dog bone shaped roller assemblies as one link. I should have read up a little, because I realize that each plate is considered a link. I may just have to buy a real high quality master link for this type chain. How does a person mess on installing a master link.? Should I buy one of the rivet type ?

Yes that's true, but I guess what I'm asking is is there a common mistake that people make installing a master link ? I put my old chain back on the bike, and put the clip back on exactly the same .The open end of the clip was towards the front of the bike ,with the master link on the low side of the chain.
