When Hawk plastics are so hard to come by.......
I'm forced to mend what I've got, tried to take plastics off in 0F degree weather makes plastic really brittle. Superglued it 1st, and then added steelstik for reinforcement. Will report back how it holds up.

I've used J B plastic weld and Permatex plastic weld. Both work real good.

I'd bet TT 250 plastics from CSC would be a direct fit.

all the tt250 plastics but the tank plastics are a direct fit, and ime less likely to be shattered more likely to bend.
I have repaired my hawk plastics a handful of times. I do not like using any glue or adhesive or epoxy. I found that unless kts a very small repair, they don't hold up too good. The plastic will flex by the wind or vibration and generally the adhesive will be really strong, but brittle. I take a soldering iron and either extra plastic or plastic rods and connect it together by melting them together. The plastic is a thermo plastic. It's not being burnt unless it is producing black smoke, white smoke is fine. Repairing like this has given me the most solid and long lasting plastic repairs that do not need to be touched up. strong or stronger than before. |

I broke one of the plastic tabs that holds the cross bar on the tank plastic the first time I pulled the tank off. I forgot to unbolt it. That was over two years ago. The J B plastic weld held up well. I recently used the Permatex plastic weld on my daughters UTV after my wife ran into the rear of the UTV with her ATV and shattered the rear plastic. I use the Permatex plastic weld with some fiberglass mesh on the back side. So far that looks like it is working. I tried pushing on it by hand to see if it gives. Just as strong as the rest of the plastic. The Key is to rough up the area you are fixing.

There are NXR150 and XR150 plastics
Both look similar but some parts differ Think you’ll find the TT is XR not NXR Some Hawk parts are a mix of both |
