RX3: Aftermarket, Rear Brake Pads
As I reported earlier, the EBC, FA496 brake pads fit the rear brake caliper of the CSC Cyclone RX3 sold in North America. These brake pads have the following dimensions.
However, an even better option is the EBC, FA140 brake pad. These brake pads have the same form factor, but are a little thicker. Indeed, the EBC brake catalog lists the CSC Cylone RX3 as one of the motorcycles which employ the EBC, FA140, rear brake pads. These rear brake pads are also used by the popular Honda CB500X and Honda NC700X motorcycles. The FA140, rear brake pads are also employed by the Triumph Tiger 800.

Other aftermarket brake pads have the same dimensions as the EBC, FA140 brake pads.

That's good to know Spud since I have both RX3 and NC700x.
How is your RX3 doing after head work Spud? Still running good? How many miles now? I see CSC has came out with the RXR stripped down version of the RX3 with no luggage or crash bars, buddy pegs or F fork protecters. $3495. Looks really nice. rj

I'm glad to help, Rob.
I'm pleased to report my RX3 is running very well after the engine work. I have now recorded over 26,000 miles on the odometer.

SpudRider It would be nice if you checked, not just pasted, what you read in the catalog, because the EBC FA140 pads don't fit the rx3 .Even if you drain the brake fluid, so don't sow misinformation because I struggled all day grinding those pads before they started walking.
