I love small motorcycles and scoots, but the HD XR1200 still gives me a stiffy.
-I would like to have permission to quote some of your Laws on occasion, SeerAtlas, giving you proper credit, of course.

750 2 stroke tripple, at 17 years old. Lucky I didn't kill myself. It took years for a bike to outdo that one, it was the Suzuki gsxr I believe that dethroned it finally. Can't really imagine what these new rockets are like, but probably tons of fun. I refuse to get on one anymore, I know how I love the throttle. So really, you only live once, go for your dream bike! |

I'm glad they finally made it in a 1200. When I bought Mrs. 2LZ her first Sporty, they only made that model in an 883. Reliable but severely gutless. It did that style no justice, harkening back on the 750's.

I have an 883 Sportster with a stage 1 kit. I agree with your observations, 2LZ. Its a sissy of a motor. It has the worst power to noise ratio of any bike in my stable.

I'm considering one of these for a hack setup. can't get much more power than that from a production motorcycle.

easy britten v1000
had the pleasure of seeing these bikes often at race meets in my teens, and is from my home town, long story short, John britten built a completely new bike himself in his garage to go on to beat factory race bikes at Daytona, also bike was light years ahead in his design, carbon fiber everything, live on board engine diagnostics, hes the ultimate underdog,

I have not been following this thread at all ,but I do have a 750 Maico competition enduro 2 stroke at my friends in Arizona ,it really is something to haul that out onto the trail ,and very quickly weed out the men from the boys ,as all the tough guys who claim they want one can not only not start it ,but after I start it for them figure out they have something else to do at that time that just has nothing to do with riding my bike .Its been a real long time since I owned my falta cz 250 and 400 ,but they were pretty much the same thing ,not many could kick start them ,( including me as I was like 12 at the time ) ,but once running nobody wanted to get on them as you truly knew they were something special that would probably hurt you real bad if you let them get away from you .
