Hawk ride height
I am also looking to lower my hawk
I think the 280 mm mono is the way to go But notice some spring rating were 1200, 1000, 400 etc. So what is the best option ? I can only assume to choose the lower Rating and adjust the preload. I appreciate any input thanks. |

I'm 5 foot 8 and i touch the ground just fine on the hawk 250. when I very first started riding, I felt like I had to tippy toe and was very unused to the feeling of being high. However I can touch the ground flat footed easy. I'll put my feet right behind the foot pegs and keep them close to the bike.
I usually sit very close to the tank unless I'm riding solo on the freeway or something. |

Some people have found the 280mm to short. causes the rear wheel to bottom out. http://chinariders.net/showthread.ph...t=280mm&page=2
I think he went with a 300mm. |

I think he went with a 300mm. I put the aftermarket seat from csc on mine. lowers the seat height by 2 1/4 inches. Did the job for me. I am 5.5. |
