No Spark on Zongshen
There's no spark on my viva (zongshen) 200cc. I changed the CDI, but that didn't change anything. Next I'm probably going to change the coil, but before I buy more parts, does anyone have a wiring diagram perhaps? It's under 100 miles so I just have no idea what would go bad.

If the CDI unit is good, I would start troubleshooting at the spark plug, and work my way back to the stator. I would also check to make sure I had a good ground connection to the frame, and the kill switch was in good working order. Spud

The kill switch is almost invariably black with a white stripe. To check your kill circuit turn the key ignition on and the kill switch to run, then check for continuity between the kill switch wire AT THE CDI and any ground. You should get infinite resistance. If you measure anything else, either the key ignition or your kill switch is bad.
You also need to check your signal pulse at the CDI (almost always blue with white stripe wire). You should get a very marginal voltage here while cranking, but there should be some voltage. To check the coil start by unplugging it and testing for voltage between the wiring harness side and ground while cranking. |

Thanks guys I'll take a look. Also, one of the zongshens came with a 200gy parts and maintenance guide, the other one looks like almost a different brand.
Sorry for the delay, but how would I go about checking the stator? |
