2006 Zongshen 200
Hello everyone I just bought a 2006 Zongshen 200. I really would like to get it in great working order. I have realized that it need a new throttle cable and I have searched everywhere and cannot find one. Any advice?

Cable
I know someone will have a better answer than this for you, however, once time I need to make one for my Chinese pit bike. I used a mountain bike shifter cable, then crimp'd a spoke nipple where I need the "stop" on the other end in the carb and it worked great for years. But like I said Im sure there is a honda/yamaha/suzuki one you can buy that will work. Spud should know

I'd expect a cable from a Yamaha TW200 will be a drop in replacement.

Thank yall for all the help. My wife (who will mostly post for me and will be working on it also) and I got out and took at good look at the bike closer and went over everything really good. We started to look closer at the throttle and cable better realizing that the throttle cable was not the problem after all. It was the idle screw.. not sure if thats what its called but the screw looking thing was screwed up tighter causing the bike to rev up higher than it should which made us think it was the throttle cable. So I think we got it fixed. Next problem its to find where it is leaking oil from the motor.. :(
But again thank you guys for welcoming us and for all the help! |

For future reference, just about any hobby shop or bicycle shop can make you a throttle cable if you take your remnants to them to measure.
