Anyone ever seen one of these?

I have to admit that I strangely like this bike. My girlfriend and I drove the 30 minute drive to Steubenville, OH to the Wildfire Importers. We saw this scooter there and she instantly fell in love with it. We had them start it up and it really sounded good. They have them priced on ebay for 1,800 which is entirely too much, in my opinion. If we could get one new for 800 or a used one for 500, I would say she should go for it. They told us at the warehouse that we could get on for 1,200 directly from them, which is still a little too steep for my liking. It looks neat in pictures, but it is really small, which is kinda hard to tell from the pictures. 13 inch wheels. Anyway, I wanted to see if anybody knows anything about this bike or this particular engine design. Anybody got one they wanna sell? The good news though is that I got a couple free "scratch n' dent" motorcycle gas tanks from them to practice my body work and painting! |

It is probably standard GY6 scooter engine design.
Wildfire does not have the best reputation for quality. |

Cool bike I'd have photographed it with a (much) better looking girl on it though if I was selling it!

I’ve seen those in front of a local dealer here, never stopped to look at them though. The online sites are selling them too.
http://www.scooterdepot.us/150cc-Gas...yle-p-688.html The wildfire has an 180cc that seems to be the largest engine that comes on those, those are seriously mass produced and wholesaled for very cheap. http://www.extrememotorsales.com/xca...cat=265&page=1 http://www.scooterrentalchicago.com/...heaper_010.htm I see this wholesaler has them for $990.00 and that means they are likely about $750.00 or less out of the factory that makes them? http://www.onmywaymotor.com/motorcycles-list1.html http://www.madeinchina.com/2686571/S...-EEC-COC.shtml http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/180c...ng-engine.html Yep $700.00 -$900.00 each . FYI most of the listings on Alibaba are not manufacturers they are wholesalers. If you find the actual factory you get those for even less. I think its funny how many of these can they sell? |

That company that manufactures those is LEIKE Machinery Industry Co., LTD
Here is their website. http://www.leikemt.com/newEbiz1/Ebiz...tml/index.html (Chinese) http://en.leikemt.com/newEbiz1/EbizP...tml/index.html (English) They call them Hornets and Super Hornets. They are sold in the USA as Motobravo and obviously a million other brands. http://www.motobravo.us/scooter.html |
