GIO Puked
Hey guys..
Started up my QUAD, been sitting in the back yard for a while thought it needed a run. It started okay, I let it run for a bit then tried to give her some gas and it puked. Started up again, idled, when I move the throttle it puked again. Now it won't start. Think this is a gummed carb or something else? Gio 110cc Beast, pretty much brand new first tank of gas. |

Sounds like a carb problem. Starving for fuel.

Think I need to take it for a good 30-45 min burn to warm it up and burn through this old gas. I did get it started again after some hard work.

Sounds like its running too rich on idle. Try adjusting the idle air srew.

Usually cleaning out the bowl will get any junk that settle into out.

I actually think it was/is the gas. The gas I had was some year old lawn mower gas I had kicking around here. It's been sitting in there for a while. I do start it up every other day but it hasn't been on a good run to keep things flowing.
It's been hot as well here the past couple days, so the carb may need some tweaking. It does seem to run a bit rich, smells so anyways. I took it for a spin tonight at dusk around the neighborhood and through some fields. (nobody around) and got 'er warmed up. Seemed to be okay. I did notice the front wheel seems a little wobbly... nut is tight with pin in it still so perhaps that crap bushing/spacer isn't true. Anyone else have this problem? |
