P0132 ~ Fouled O2 sensor
So I got myself an obdlink LX and a cable to mate to check out what my engine code was and got the P0132 code.
First the O2 sensor was loose and upon inspection was pretty much fouled up and nasty. Also the O2 sensor had no copper grease stuff installed from the factory... I don't know if it need it or not.... Tried to clean up the sensor..... but my research on the subject says it's pretty much toast and they can rarely be cleaned up... My last ride I was getting 47mpg... normally get 55mpg or so.... CSC has them for sale for 129$.... wondering if we a alternative exists that I could order.... Also going to send a email to see if its under warranty.... |

Brake cleaner or MAF cleaner. Otherwise try to x-reference the O2 to a Denso or Bosch part. Anti-seize is not "needed" but without it the sensor can become near impossible to remove later on. $130 is fair for a wideband but robbery for a narrow band. NB use 2- 4 wires, WB use 4-6 wires.
