Bump Stall
My Brozz is doing great. Love the thing.
I have noticed, however, if I am mounting a log or going over some sort of obstacle that creates a decent bump or otherwise climb something that involves a bump of the bike, the engine will just die. I'm not doing anything the bike shouldn't be able to handle or motocross jumps or anything. As a matter of fact, the only reason I didn't make it over said obstacles is because the engine just quits. It doesn't sputter, squelch, squeak, whine, moan, or bitch. It just big bump going slowly when it impacts and forks compress... dead instantly. Any idea what could be causing this? |

I'd guess at something electrical. Maybe a wire being pinched, grounded, or a connection loose?

Are you running stock carb jets? I wonder if your bike is too lean. The reason I ask is that my stock TT250 was anemic prior to swapping out the factory main jet. I didn't have the power to get out of my own way. I now have a 112 and it runs like a dream.

I know you can shut the bike off with the remote, any chance the remote is bouncing around on the key switch and hitting the button? Try riding in the same place with the remote in your pocket and see if it still does it.

Sometimes there's a sensor on bikes that makes them automatically shut off when a certain angle away from normal is exceeded, usually when the bike is on its side. It could be that. Does it shut off doing a wheelie?

Doing a wheelie doesn't shut it off. It's happened when I've had the bike started with the key, so I don't think it is a remote fob button issue. I've started the bike and tugged and pulled on wiring and that won't do it.
It's almost like the bump makes the engine miss or do something weird. But is doesn't peter out, or stall out. It just dies instantly. The Brozz does not have a kickstand shutoff, or a clutch safety. |
