Front brake upgrade
So CSC no longer has the oversize brake rotor/upgrade
Kinda burned out on the wooden feel of my 2015 My only option it looks like is to replace my brake pads with the DP pads. Anyone done this ? Better feel ? |

Oddly enough, I've had the upgrade kit for a couple of years now, but have not gotten around to installing it. I've been waiting for the OEM CST front tire to wear out; after five years and 17,000 miles it is finally just about done, while I'm on my fourth OEM rear tire in that time. |

Good info thanks...think I'll try those DP pads.
Yeah those stock tires are really good and long lasting. CS tires never really seen them outside of CSC.. You have some unobtanium with that OS brake rotor kit...can't believe they dont offer that anymore. |

My goodness, you mean you can't get something from China in the middle of a Chinese pandemic, with fresh economic sanctions being imposed on that government?
One would think that such a thing would never happen. Don't feel left out, there is also a shortage of cheap guitars and tools.

I did the pad upgrade to these and it helped some.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The biggest irritant was the warping that would come and go. I sanded all the powder-coating off the disk mounting surface when I replaced it (under warranty) and I haven't had any pulsating since. Bike has been sold to my neighbor and he yet to complain.

To get a dramatic improvement, you may need to swap in an entire fork, front wheel and caliper from a DR650/KLR/XL650...
