No plans to import the kpt200 or kp250 which I really like. The KP350 will be here sometime this year.

I feel the KPT should have been the bike we got alongside the KPR instead of the KP naked bike.. I actually think this bike could still fill a niche market here. Similar in concept to the Zongshen RX3, but less confined to the adv. category as the RX3. Hard to explain, but while, with all the luggage it COULD compete with the RX3, without it and knobbies, the bike could hit dirt roads and be used as a dual-sport. Its price would be lower than the RX3. I could see it used as what most of us fantasize about what a Chinese dual-sport can do; take a few hundred mile weekend trip. Yes a typical 223cc bike CAN do such a trip, but your options are limited as far as roads go. The RX3 can take you on such trips as well, but I see it as overqualified for trips like that. The KPT is just right...

This shows that Lifan is responsive to consumers. They are willing to produce what we want to buy. Good on them.

+1 vote of interest in that KP250, about 25hp 6 speed, looks like an actual modern engine by it's specs. Though I find the one listed as the SS2 (LF250-10E) a prettier looking bike to me it's got too little power.
I wonder if they plan on bringing the bigger KPT 450 over here to the States? |
