Venom X22R 250 Photo shoot

I woke up to a chilly 35* temps this morning so figured I'd adjust the valve and take some pictures while waiting for it to warm up a little before taking her out for a ride. Enjoy!

Great pics. Cool weather is great for photography. No much humidity to to dull the lines and colors.

That bike has to be a lot more fun on the back roads than the Hawk. My one big enjoyment with my big Viffer over the hawk besides the power is leaning into corners and curves. The Hawk is relaxed, and relaxing, to ride, but lacks a bit of the fun factor. How comfy is that riding position for you? I have considered picking one of these up, but I could never find a good opinion from someone closer to 6ft than 5 ft tall.

Definitely more fun in the twisties. I tested that out today. Lol. I thought I was videoing the ride today but must of not pushed the button hard enough. I guess I'll force myself to do it again tomorrow.

Nice bike Jerry! How is the forward lean on your body? I was thinking about adding something like this or a naked sport bike like the Kaw Z400.

I’m bouncing the idea of a dual sport like a Brozz or Hawk vs this bike for commuting up to an hour each direction several times per week. My previous experience is on a Honda CBR600F4 and a naked Suzuki SV1000. I definitely prefer the more upright riding position of the naked bike and I’m also 6’3” and 220 pounds and worry that this X22R might be a little cramped.

Do you have any pictures of you on the bike in your riding position along with your height so I can get a feel for the riding position on this bike?

Thanks!

I'm 5'11" @180 lbs. and have a 32" inseam. The ride position for me is more upright similar to my Hawk. I road over 2 hours yesterday and was more comfortable than on my Hawk. I don't feel cramped up. I have a bad back and wouldn't last long if I were hutched over. I don't have any pictures of me on the bike but I'll see if I can get my brother in law to sit on it as he would be more your height.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I really like this bike and the 2020 Bashan Brozz that comes out next week. They’re obviously very different, but it’s for 90% on road commuting and I’d get something like an RXB250L for off-road as a second bike if I choose the Venom for a first bike.

I own a Hawk 250 and this bike. Depending on the speeds you will need to travel the X22R 250 would definitely be a better daily commuter for 60+ mph speeds. But then again if I had more street oriented tires on the Hawk it would be a more street friendly bike. But that would defeat the purpose of having the Hawk for off road. lol The X22R just feels more comfortable at the higher speeds and is a much smoother ride. I looked at my GPS app last night and I road for 2 hours and 42 minutes on Tuesday and never felt tired or saddle sore. On my Hawk I could ride about an hour to and hour and a half and would have to take a break. By the end of the day my butt was sore. When i'm off road on the Hawk I don't have that problem because i'm on the pegs most of the time.

Thanks Jerry. That kind of information definitely helps. My daily is a Ram with a hemi and 35” Toyo MTs that gets a combined 12mpg so I’m looking for a fun bike that will also ease the pain when I have to travel an hour for work, an hour to visit the girlfriend, an hour to visit family, an hour and a half to the lake house, etc.

It sounds like I need to get the street bike now and the enduro as a second bike based on what you’re saying.
